“Azmin is a massive liar”

azminali

By boasting as if they are ‘Malayan heroes’, Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali has shown what a massive liar he is.

This is supposedly because they have succeeded in preventing the Election Commission (EC) from carrying out its responsibilities in the issue of delineation of election constituency areas especially in Selangor

For two consecutive days PKR bellowed as if they had won big in the case. In actual fact, the real winner at the trial was the EC, led by its chairman, Datuk Seri Mohd. Hashim Abdullah. This is because the body has successfully proceeded with the local inquiry process to complete the proposed delineation.

For Selangor, inquiries have yet to start, even the first inquiry, therefore there was no need to prevent the EC from conducting the second inquiry on Selangor. Furthermore, the court has also rejected the Selangor government’s application to prevent the second inquiry for other states. This is the most pertinent issue defended by the EC. This first decision is essential because it means that the EC is able to carry out its duties.

The decision was very important to the EC for cases relating to Melaka because of the EC’s appeal against the decision of the High Court of Melaka, which among others, allowed the suspension of the second inquiry to take place. This case will be tried on July 18 in the Court of Appeal. On the contrary, the second decision ordered by the court to prevent the EC from submitting the delineation report to the Prime Minister without including Selangor does not carry any meaning. It also does not affect the EC’s efforts as the delineation report can not be completed and handed over to the Prime Minister as long as the cases in Selangor and Melaka are still pending.

The EC is aware of their responsibilities and all action undertaken is in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Constitution. The EC is not as stupid as the parties concerned, which perhaps does not know that the Final Report cannot be completed without Melaka and Selangor. Even though the court decision sided with the Selangor state government, it is something that the EC obviously will not carry out, as the investigation process in Melaka is still incomplete.

In fact, in Selangor, it has yet to start. However, the EC has successfully completed the process in other states such as Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Perak, Kedah, Penang, Johor, Negeri Sembilan and Kuala Lumpur. The actions of those involved, that boasted as if they successfully prevented the EC from submitting the delineation of the Malayan state constituencies report to the Prime Minister is in fact indicative of their the stupidity.

It is as if they do not understand that the final delineation report of Malaya must be submitted as a whole. They are in fact unclear and are now and are now trying to obscure the people’s minds in order to gain support. There are many more court episodes that the EC needs to go through in the delineation process.

Although now most of the cases are won by the EC, it has to be cautious of the malicious intentions of involved parties.
